4X4 Truck Pull
& Mini-modified Tractor Pull

Thursday, August 25th, 7:30pm
Enjoy nine classes of pickup truck pulling from Showroom Stock to
Street Legal Small Block to High Output Big Block. Trucks and
drivers compete for top prizes in each class.
These trucks pull a weight transfer sled on our 300 foot track.
The weight shifts as the trucks pull the sled, making it heavier and
heavier. The truck that pulls the sled the furthest distance wins.
The difference between winning and losing may be just a fraction of an
inch!
The trucks may be street legal, stock, or highly customized gasoline
or diesel powered vehicles. Our competitors put effort into their
trucks to make sure the trucks are ready to pull.
These drivers are smart and competitive. People come from all
over to participate. Many Westmoreland County residents come to pull at
Westmoreland Fair, but others come from Indiana, Washington, and
Somerset Counties. Some even come from West Virginia or Ohio.
Come and cheer on your friends and neighbors!
You will have your hand stamped as you enter so you can come and go
from the Demolition Derby to the Fair and back again throughout the
evening.

Hot Rod Semi Truck Pull and Tractor Pull
(sanctioned and non-sanctioned)
Friday, August 26th, 7:30pm
- Superstock 4X4 Truck
- Limited Pro/Super Farm Tractors
- Hot Rod Semi Trucks
- Farm Stock Tractors
- Road Semis
- Tri Axles (sanctioned & non-sanctioned)
We have so much happening on Friday night that we run two tracks
simultaneously for hours of non-stop action!
The Super Stock 4x4 trucks, which sport some of the best paint
schemes in pulling, are only allowed 410 cubic inches. These motors turn
more than 9,000 rpms and the competition between these vehicles is
normally a distance within a couple of feet of one another.
You think a road semi or a street legal tri axel is a powerful
vehicle? You should see the souped up versions! We have big
payouts for the winners in these competitive classes.
Small and large farm stock tractors pull on the track next to the
Limited Pro/Super Farm Tractors. The Limited Pro and Super Farm Tractors
will feature all of the major brands to include Duetz, Ford,
International, John Deere, and New Holland. Many of these participants
are local to the area, such as Dan Hildebrand, Ron Higgins, Bill Shaw,
and Zundel Pulling Team. Come out and cheer your friend, neighbor, or
favorite local puller on to victory.
Hook to a weight transfer sled. Has back wheels and pan in
front. Box moves forward - the further they go, the further it
moves up. Moves forward more weight on the sled. Whoever
gets the furthest.
You will have your hand stamped as you enter so you can come and go
from the Truck and Tractor Pull to the Fair and back again throughout
the evening.
