Blended Reality

Tuesday, August 23rd at 7pm

Blended reality

Blended Reality is an astoundingly talented and cohesive sibling trio band from Southwestern PA. Riley, who has been playing and writing music since he was 11, is the lead guitarist and lead male vocalist for the band.  As the only female in the group, Mack plays bass guitar, piano, and has also beentaking over much of the lead vocals.  As the drummer of the band, their brother, Ty, brings the beat to everything they do and you’ll catch him taking the lead vocals from time to time as well.  All self-taught (each of them are adept at playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guiter, piano and drums), the three of them blend together to bring a very diverse yet relevant vibe to the world of music.  Having the male/female dynamic to their group, the band’s three part harmonies give them an extraordinarily unique sound.  Mixing crisp family vocals from the pop culture of today with some of the greatest hits of yesterday.  Riley, Mack and Ty always deliver chrismatic, high energy performances.  Blended Reality’s shows contain music for everyone with both covers and original songs pureed together to surprise and delight almost any listener.  They can do it all – Pop, Country, Rock and beyond.

Combined with the release of their original upcoming single “Good Time (Don’t Wait Up)”, Written by Rilye, winning the 2016 Pittsburgh Battle of the Bands has been an incredible stepping stone for the band.  The band has also taken on working with two booking agents from Pittsburgh PA; Fuzion Entertainment and Talent Network, Inc.  This has all helped launch Blended Reality one step further into the upper echelons of the music industry allowing them to enter the next level of performance venues throughout the tri-state area.  More to the point, their participation and subsequent win in the Battle of the Bands has opened up and will continue to open up the opportunity for them to start headlining their own shows, which include a concert this spring at The Rex Theater in Pittsubrgh, PA serveral performances booked this Spring/Summer throughout Southwestern PA, as well as some out of town performances in Cleveland, OH and Morgantown, WV

Moving forward, the band intends to further pursue their passion for music and whisk away to Nashville later this year to record their first CD

Matt VanFossen

Saturday, August 27 at 7:00

Imagine the rush of performing your new single to more than 80,000 country music fans….Ohio native Matt VanFossen doesn’t have to imagine, because this is his new reality…..

With the release of his new EP, “BOOM”, VanFossen is taking his career to exciting new levels.  The hard driving title track recently won West Virginia – based radio station 97.9 WKKW’s fan-voted “Smackdown” for the maximum of five days straight, beating out new singles from the likes of Colt Ford, Dolly Parton and Jana Kramer.  His brand new single “Close If It Ain’t It” is already getting major traction on Pittsburgh’s Froggy 103.5 and other stations in The Ohio Valley.

VanFossen has shared the stage with national recording artists including David Nail, Craig Campbell, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Kip Moore and more.  In 2013, he became one of the main stage artists at the Ohio based “Jamboree in the Hills” festival.  Since then, he has opened up for the likes of Neal McCoy, Tim McGraw and The Oak Ridge Boys.

The newly released “BOOM” EP aims to cement his status as a hit-maker with a voice that grabs your attention and refuses to let go.  The EP was produced by well known Producer/Musician Mike Ofca at Innovation Studios in Steubenville, Ohio

“BOOM” is available at all digital outlets and is distributed by TuneCore.

The EP follows the breakout success of 2012’s full-length “I Didn’t Come Here to Lose.”  Two singles from the album (“Almost Stopped Dreaming” and “This Time Around”) managed to break the Top 100 on the Mediabase country charts.

The artist released his first album in 2009, and had a regional hit with “Time Ain’t What It Used To Be.”  The song made it to #76 on Wheeling WV based radio station WOVK’s 2010 year end countdown and he was named the second most played local artist.  Station manager Jim Elliott declard, “Remember this man’s name because you’ll be hearing a lot more of it in the future.”

Tragedy struck just as his career began to take off when, Matt’s beloved mother, Dot passed away dussenly due to a stroke.  Her death was jolting and almost caused him to give up on his dreams.  He recalls feeling broken after leaving the hospital and contemplating the end to his career. “But then I turned on the radio and my song was playing, I knew in my hear that it was a sign from Mom to keep doing this.” he says.

Fast forward to 2014 and VanFossen is revisiting his signature song with a newly recorded version created especially for “BOOM”.  He calls the track the centerpiece of his music.

“It was the first song that I had on the radio and the only song my mom and I heard on the radio together.  It’s a timeless song.  I feel like every step of the way, it becomes more of my signature song,” he says.  “Now’s the time to bring a song like this into the world.  Everybody’s reminiscing about when life was simple.  It’s a way of remembering your innocence.”

Whether he’s performing a hard driving rocker such as “Close If It Ain’t It” or a heartbreaking ballad like “Get To You,” VanFossen’s live shows are not to be missed.  His voice is often compared to artists such as Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, and Blake Shelton.  Not bad company for an entertainer who continues to forge his own path as an independent artist.

“I want people to know that I am a genuine, driven and hard working artist that cares about the music and his fans.  Without my fans I wouldn’t be able to do what I do.  They mean the world to me.” His energetic stage shows get the crowd going. And you never know when he might call you up on stage.
